Kristen Anne Bell (born July 18th, 1980)[1] is an American actress and singer. She began her acting career in the Tisch School of the Arts in New York. While there she was a part of stage productions. The comedy musical The Adventures of Tom Sawyer was her Broadway debut. The Crucible revival came out the following year. Later, she appeared in the action thriller film Spartan (2004) and received praise for her performance in the television drama film Gracie's Choice (2004).Her first major part was as the main character in the teen noir TV series Veronica Mars (2004-2007), receiving critical acclaim as well as an Saturn Award for Best Actress in Television for her performance. The character was reprised in the 2014 movie and the 2019 revival. In the course of her work in Veronica Mars, Bell starred as Mary Lane in the musical film Reefer Madness: The Movie Musical (2005) which was reprising the role she had previously played in the New York musical of the similar name.Bell starred as Elle Bishop in the superhero drama series Heroes from 2007 to 2008. Bell played the narrator in the title role for the teen drama series Gossip Girl. The 2021 sequel will feature her reprising the role. Bell was also the Showtime comedian House of Lies' lead actress, Jeannie van de Hooven. Bell starred as Eleanor Shellstrop, the leading part of the critically-acclaimed NBC comedy show The Good Place. She was nominated for the Golden Globe Award. In addition, Bell played the lead role in streaming series The Woman in the House across the street from the Girl in the Window.
