Sharon Yvonne Stone was born on March 10, 1958, in Meadville, Pennsylvania, to accountant Dorothy Lawson and tool and die maker as well as former worker in the factory Joseph William Stone II. Michael, Kelly and Patrick are her three siblings. Stone was in second grade when she entered kindergarten at age five. She graduated with a high school certificate from Saegertown located in Saegertown situated in Pennsylvania in the year 1975. Stone also participated in the Miss Pennsylvania beauty pageant, and was crowned Miss Crawford County. Stone relocated to New Jersey with her aunt New Jersey, where she was interested in pursuing a modeling career. A month later, Stone signed up at the Ford Modeling Agency. In Europe Stone was able to spend a whole year in Milano and Paris. Stone unhappy with the model world within Europe began acting while living in Europe. Woody Allen's movie, "Stardust Memories", got mixed praise at the age of 20.
